Sales Policy

The Breezy Lilac Sales Policy

Thank you for your interest in our Nethies! By inquiring about any of our animals you are unspokenly accepting our terms and conditions.  Breezylilacrabbitry@gmail.com

****Buyers transparency is our goal with this sales policy! We want you to be happy,if you have any questions or concerns please message us. No matter what, we will not be able to cover all scenarios under this policy. With that being said if something happens not mentioned below, just contact us. We would like to try to resolve it. Please don't make your first course of action a poor review.*****

What sets us apart? We try to maintain respectable guidelines in situations that don't always go to plan, giving both the buyer and seller peace of mind with their animals. The Breezy Lilac offers guarantees that most breeders do not! This includes its gender guarantee, and the one week replacement policy. Most breeders do not guarantee the animal's gender that is being sold, which is mind blowing as a breeder. If a breeder can not promise the sex of their animal they are selling, please consider finding a more seasoned breeder - rabbits are not hard to sex. We do also have a one week replacement policy on animals $100 and up. This is ONLY because we would hate to have someone spend a lot on a bunny and have something happen. Mind you most rabbits breeders have NO gender guarantee or replacement policy at all, so we hope this helps give a bit of peace of mind in this world right now. As a breeder I take great pride in upholding our guidelines we have set.

We will ALWAYS take any of our rabbits we have placed in new homes back! NO QUESTIONS ASKED! This is to keep them out of bad situations, there will be no refunds on animals we take back but you can rest assured they will find new appropriate homes and be cared for properly

All breeding animals leave with transition pellets and pedigree. All pets will leave with a week worth of transition pellets, hay, and a goody bag.

All of our animals get Breeder life time support, for all of your questions.

Sale Terms: Each animal listed for sale should be tagged with a term that best fits the animal. Please keep in mind; we will NEVER guarantee how our animals will place in shows, maturing in weight, maintain fertility, how the animal will produce, or even the animals temperament. This is because everyone maintains their animals differently, we can only go off of what we have seen from the animal in our own barn and care. I can never be 100% sure how an animal will do on the table however I use my 25+ years of personal experience to predict how an animal may do, but I may not always be right!

  • Show Quality- Meaning the animal either has proven themselves on the show table or we have very good reason to believe they will show well. It is very rare that we place these animals for sale, but it does happen!
  • Show Potential - This rabbit is typically still young and growing into themselves but our trained eye thinks there is a good chance of it being a good show prospect when fully developed.
  • Brood Quality: These animals have a lot of good qualities that breeders would like to pass to their offspring. They can also be sold as pets.
  • Proven: Animal has produced LIVE kits. Many cases raised and taken foster kits as well.
  • Pet Quality: These rabbits can either be not great fits to the SOP or may even have a color DQ. These are typically sold as 8 week olds.

—--------------------------------------------------------------------------Deposits: 50% non refundable deposit of the over all asking price is required via paypal or cash app to hold any animal. For in-person sales we accept cash, or the above. (Please bring the exact cash amount. For security purposes we do not bring cash to meet-ups)

  • Pick up date must be disclosed before sending the deposit!
  • All deposits will be forfeit if the purchaser does not show up at agreed upon pickup time and location. This means the animal will be placed back up for sale and your deposit will be forfeited. You will then be placed on our do not sell list. No exceptions!

—--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our Gender Guarantee: We give a gender guarantee on all of our rabbits regardless of the purchase amount. Replacements will be given at the breeders convenience, we will try to match the animal that was purchased the best we can in a timely manner. Mind you, we hardly mis-gendered sold animals! Maybe 3 times in my 25+ years of breeding have people come back with the wrong gender. I am human and it can happen and I accept my mistake and will do my best to set it right!

If this does happen we will need:

  • Proof of wrong gender- must be given in person or with photos/video including rabbits ear#.
  • The wrong gendered animal must be returned to us.
  • Any fees that may be acquired swapping the animals out (transport, fees, gas, est) will be the buyer's responsibility.
  • You have the right to refuse the replacement animal being offered, within reason! We would try to match the quality, variety of your original purchased animal with the new gender the best we can but it is not always possible to get a perfect match. Therefore we are willing to give you the right to refuse the first animal offered but you must accept the second.
  • Refusal to accept the second replacement animal offered, or the unwillingness to comply with the above means you are forfeiting the right to a replacement.
  • Replacements must be picked up in a timely manner! This will be at our discretion on how long we are willing to hold the replacement animal.
  • Any young breeding stock mis-sold with a split penis will fall under this same replacement guarantee.
  • Any pets sold with a split penis are NOT covered, unless the pet split penis animal was sold to the buyer as female/doe. In that case they are entitled to this replacement guarantee.

—--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minimum Age: 8 weeks old, NYS law requires rabbits to be a minimum of 8 weeks old before change of ownership. We wean babies at 6 weeks so this gives them a two week period minimum to settle in without mom.

  • Within that 2 week weaning period babies are de-wormed and tattooed.

Tattoos: Each animal that leaves our rabbitry will be given a permanent identification in their left ear. Will read BLR***

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Health: We take the greatest pride in the health of our animals, and do everything possible to ensure that they will leave our care and thrive! However rabbits are extremely sensitive to stress, and this can cause them physical symptoms.

We cannot guarantee any animal's health once leaving the Rabbitry however we have a health commitment we will uphold and stand by.

Refunds: All sales are final. There will be no refund given, however if your bunny is not a good fit we can work with you to help you to find it a good home. Or we will always take it back regardless of the issue.

Replacements: We do have a one week replacement policy on animals $100 and up. This is to give buyers some peace of mind.

  • .OUR ONE WEEK HEALTH REPLACEMENT POLICY
    • Replacement will be offered to animals sold for $100 and up ONLY! With the exemption of animals using transporters.
    • This policy is only for animals that fall ill within (7 days) starting the day the animal is picked up in person from myself. ie no middle party/transporter.
    • This covers animals that fall into the above category with any health concerns, as well as deaths. Accidental deaths are not covered.
    •  We will not give multiple refusals to the replacement animal offered, there will be ONE replacement offered under this policy.
    • Any fees that may be acquired getting said replacement animals (driving time, transport, gas, est) will be the buyer's responsibility.
    • Depending on the illness, the animal may need to be dispatched if contagious or terminal. We will review evidence and go from there.
    •  If your animal is contagious/terminal, you have two options
      •  1.) return the sick animal in an enclosed box so that it can be humanly dispatched and disposed of without being exposed to any other animals.
      •  2.) you may have the animal humanly dispatched and then provide proof of the deceased animal with a photo (must include rabbits ear# within the photo)
    • Deaths are at the breeders discretion. Please provide evidence, and include the animals EAR # just as above.
    • We do NOT need the body back, just photos with the ear number.’
    • Before you pick up the replacement animal, we require that you disinfect all cage and equipment the animal was in contact with.
    • One replacement per person, if your replacement animal dies, we will assume there is something wrong on your end and you will be placed on our do not sell to list.
  • ***Refusal to comply with the above means you are forfeiting your right to receive a replacement animal, and accepting all responsibilities on your own behalf that go with caring for a sick rabbit-this includes but not limited to vet bill(s) and medicine.***
  • All this may sound cruel but we take the health of our herd way too seriously to tolerate ANY contact whatsoever of an animal that is ill. Most breeders these days do not even accept any responsibility whatsoever for these animals- so please keep that in mind! I do NOT need to offer any replacement policy.
  • If an animal that is below the cost of $100 falls terminally ill within 7 days, contact us. We do not offer free replacements for these animals but depending on the time of the year we may be able to give you a good discount on a replacement
  • Death/illness in our care: Unfortunately this does happen. Rabbits are fragile critters and can look fine one moment and be gone within hours. I have been breeding a really long time and can usually pick up on animals that are not feeling well but once in a while one will just die out of the blue. In the event that the animal you have placed a deposit on dies in our care you are entitled to a replacement animal of your choice within the same quality/price value. You have as many refusals as you need. Any animal offered for sale in your deceased animal's quality/price value point will be offered your right to refuse first, before being listed for sale.
  • You do still need to pay the other 50% of the original animals asking price at pick up
  • If you would like an animal on our sales list that is of higher value as the one you placed a deposit on you are welcome to pay the difference at pick up.

In the event that your animal becomes ill in our care (if it is something with an easy fix, simple diarrhea or going off feed a day), we may require the animal stay an extra week with us. If we do not feel confident after an extra week in our care past the pick up date, then you will be offered the right to a replacement within your price value point, or to continue waiting for said animal to clear to leave our barn. We will do everything in our power to work with you to ensure you are happy with our overall experience working with us, even when uncertain events happen.

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------Transporters: We do offer to work with transporters of your choice, however we do have the right to decline to do so before the sale begins.

  • Buyers are responsible for finding, arranging and paying for transport. This includes any fee we charge for gas to get the rabbit to the transporter's route.
  • If we have multiple rabbits for the same route, buyers may not be charged a fee for gas. So share, share, share our page!!!
  • Any animal using transport MUST be paid for in full before leaving our rabbitry! This includes any fee arranged to meet transporters.
  • We live in Ellenburg Depot N.y (the part of N.Y. boarding Canada) with that being said, most transporters ask that I meet them closer to their routes, which can be anywhere from a 2-3 hour drive for me.
  • Before leaving with transport we will send multiple detailed photos within 24hr of the animal leaving our care. You must AGREE that the animal is healthy before we leave the animal with the transporter, and to accept responsibility for what may happen during transport.

Once an animal is in transit, I am not responsible for any injury, illness, or conditions acquired during this transport. (I can not guarantee arrival conditions due to heat, stress, delay, transport car est.)

  • If using a transporter you unspokenly accept that you are voiding our 7 days replacement policy for animals $100 and more. And by purchasing and sending a deposit you are knowingly complying with the above - Again, you are forfeiting your right to receive a replacement animal in the event of illness or death and accepting all responsibilities on your own behalf that go with caring for a sick rabbit-this includes but not limited to vet bill(s) and medicine.

-In the event that we have an expo coming up we will post NATIONAL or CONVENTION policy that include more details on boarding and transportation if we decide to use this. - The Christian Family
