Here at Breezy Lilac Rabbitry we strive for top quality Netherland Dwarf rabbits with irresistible color! We hand select each animal used in our refined program, exclusively breeding to the American Rabbit Breeders Association Standard of Perfection. Our goal is to produce quality dwarfs that are consistently improving and can be competitive on a national level. We provide quality breeding stock, as well as pets year round. We look at our animals as works of art, every litter produced here is strategically planned, taking into account body type, color, and lineage with the hope of producing better quality offspring. 

I have 25+ years of personal experience raising rabbits, with about 15 years raising the Netherland Dwarf breed. Before I started breeding dwarfs I was very successful breeding and showing Holland lops in youth! I was # 1 in my region for multiple years and very active with the club. My love for the holland lop breed started to fade when I got my BEW Netherlands. Eventually completely fading out of the Hollands by the time I was 18. 

 Currently I am a 4x ANDRC recognized charter breeder, and are in the process of handing that torch to the next generation, as did my mother who started me with rabbits when I was only 8 years old.  I got my first charter breeder award in 2008 as a youth, then my open charter a year later, while I was still predominantly show in youth. The minute I turned 19 and turned open I began showing with my mother and received a 3rd charter award with her.  Finally after I got married I received my last showing with my X husband.  My mother Wendy Martin taught me the ropes, and got her charter back before they really started keeping track (some time before 1995). My mother got her start in the 80’s with Chuck Weber as a mentor, and stuck very loyal to the Netherland Dwarf breed till her passing march 2014. 

My knowledge of the breed and reputation of producing consistent quality stock over the duration of breeding rabbits is what truly sets my rabbitry apart from the competitors. Over the years of raising dwarfs I have taken countless breed and show wins. Unfortunately I have lost much of my showing status over the years, primarily due to the drastic slow of my showing career, however my past success speaks for itself. Currently only attending 1 or 2 shows per year. I'm hoping to bounce back into showing soon.
